Fabulous Fifties Show to Benefit Foundation

The Fabulous Fifties Cast and crew is gearing up for a summer performance entitled Rockin’ for the Cause….A Casual Night with the Fabulous Fifties Cast, planned for Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Ninth Grade Academy beginning at 7:00pm. All proceeds will benefit the Lincoln County Health System Foundation.
For the past five years the Foundation has held the Lincoln County Idol as their large summer fundraiser, but participation has slowly dropped. The Foundation board decided to take a break from Idol and do a fundraiser this year that the entire county would enjoy.
“We wanted to do something fun and fresh this year to spread the word about the Foundation, explains Shannon Blackwood, Foundation President. We approached Jane Wilcox and the cast of the Fifties Show and they agreed to assist us. All proceeds that are donated to the Foundation will be put into the improvements that will be made at the Patrick Rehab and Wellness Center. The Patrick will be adding a circular drive, an awning, carpeting and painting in the near future. The show will be a mix of some songs from this year as well as songs from previous years. An occasional skit will be done as well.”
“It’s going to be a fun filled evening. We encourage everyone to come out. What better way to be entertained than an evening with one of Lincoln County’s greatest attractions, Blackwood continues.”
Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Carter’s Drug Store, Fayetteville/Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln Medical Center, or online at lchealthsystem.com. For more information contact 438-7620.
“We hope everyone will make plans to attend and come out and support not only our Foundation, but the wonderful group of individuals who make up the Fabulous Fifties.
