Heart Walk Honors Hereford and Bagby

The 2012 Lincoln County Heart Walk is set for Sunday, October 14 at the Patrick Rehab and Wellness Center, presented by the Employees of Goodman, Lincoln County Health System, First National Bank, Fayetteville Public Utilities, Bank of Lincoln County, Landers McLarty Toyota, Redstone Federal Credit Union, Exchange, and G-Squared. This year’s walk will be held in memory of the late Jim Hereford and in honor of Austin Bagby. Special recognition will also be made to Mrs. Evaleen Trivett and Mrs. Frances Abbott for their heartfelt devotion to the American Heart Association over the years. Registration will begin at 1:00pm and the walk at 2:00pm.walk-mid

“Last year as a community we were able to raise $72,000”, states Mary Beth Seals, event chair. “The number continues to rise every year. We were just as pleased with the number of individuals who turned out for the event. The crowd continues to grow each year and we are always amazed by the participation from this community.”

Current teams are: Frances Abbott- Friends and Family, Evaleen Trivett- Friends and Family, Lincoln County Health System, Bank of Lincoln County, Fayetteville Public Utilities, US Bank, First National Bank, Lincoln County Courthouse, Ralph Askins Elementary School, Mark Horton Friends and Family, Animal Shelter, First Bank, Motlow College, Marvin’s Restaurant, Landers McLarty Toyota, CB&S Bank, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church, Billy and Pat Gray- Austin Bagby Friends and Family, Goodman Manufacturing, and Regions Bank.
