Skilled Nursing

Lincoln-Donalson Care Center offers skilled nursing and inpatient rehabilitation services for those times in life when you may find yourself in need of the advanced medical resources just outside of the scope of what can be provided at home.  Our program is designed for patients who are recovering from a recent acute illness or surgery and needs short-term care before returning home.

The care plans at Lincoln-Donalson Care Center are created around each individual patient. Our staff carefully considers their personal goals, needs, and desires with the intent to provide the services needed to resume a normal state of life at home. Inpatient therapy is a major focus, helping patients return home quickly.

We offer the following therapy services:
Physical Therapy- designed to restore muscle strength and improve coordination, it can also help control or relieve acute and chronic pain
Occupational Therapy – designed to help individuals improve their ability to perform the basic functions of daily life such as eating, bathing and dressing, as well as activities including cooking and doing laundry and other chores
Speech Therapy- designed to help patients with difficulty swallowing, speaking, cognition, as well as aid those who have suffered a stroke or other injury to retrain the muscles in the mouth and throat so they can eat and speak properly

Our Skilled Nursing/Inpatient Rehabilitation Program can benefit patients with the following needs (not comprehensive):

• Rehabilitation Care due to fractures, orthopedic surgeries, or joint replacement
• Wound Care
• Interim Care Following a Hospital Stay
• Stroke Recovery
• IV antibiotics and the administration of blood products
• Respiratory Care
• New Colostomy or Tracheostomy Care
• Tube feedings/ artificial food administration
• General Rehabilitation due to weakness or physical decline

Our Care Center offers a variety of conveniences designed to enhance the comfort of our patients and improve recovery reducing the chances of being readmitted to the hospital.  Comprehensive rehabilitation and compassionate care are our ultimate goal.  We help our residents recover with dignity while receiving personalized, quality care only community can provide.
