On Saturday, May 5, the Lincoln County Health System and the Lincoln County Health Council will sponsor a community wide health fair. The health fair will be open at 9am and go until Noon. It will be located at the Lincoln County High School.
“It has been awhile since we offered a health fair to the community,” says Mary Beth Seals, Director of Marketing/Community Relations for the Lincoln County Health System. “We are excited to team with the community’s local health council to offer a fair that spreads both education and awareness.” “We encourage all ages to come out and participate in the morning’s activities.”
“There will be a lot going on both inside and outside the high school,” continued Seals. “The parking lot will be filled with an ambulance, Air Evac, Fayetteville Fire along with their ride along, Fayetteville Police Department, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Blood Assurance.” “Inside their will be various booths set up. Lincoln Medical Center will be doing lipid profiles for $10.00, as well as blood pressure checks and BMI.” “The Lions club will be set up offering hearing and eyes checks, also on hand will be St. Thomas Heart, American Cancer Society, Imagination Library, Tennessee Donor, UT Extension Service, Coordinated School Health, Health Department, and many more.”
This health fair would not be possible without the many individuals who have come to help us. Many thanks go out to Principal Jacob Sorrells and the Lincoln County High School for allowing us to use their facility. If you are interested in having a booth at the health fair, I encourage you to call and let me know at 438-7620.
