Lincoln Health System announces new Chief Operating Officer
Lincoln Health System (LHS) and Huntsville Hospital Health System are pleased to announce that Mary Beth Seals will join the Lincoln organization as Chief Operating Officer on April 25th. The announcement was made by Russ Spray, LHS CEO and Jeff Samz, CEO of Huntsville Hospital Health System. Earlier this year Lincoln reported that it was pursuing plans to integrate into the Huntsville system.
“We are thrilled for Mary Beth to come back to her hometown and serve the community,” said Spray.
Seals returns to LHS from Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital where she most recently served as Associate Operating Officer. Seals started her career in health care at LHS in 2009 as the Director of Marketing. In 2015, she became Director of Professional Outreach of Community Health Systems’ Tennova Harton Hospital. When the hospital was acquired by Vanderbilt in 2021, she was named Director of Clinics and then Associate Operating Officer. Seals earned a Master of Business Administration in Management and Leadership in 2020 from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Spray said it is “an exciting time for LHS with the plans of joining Huntsville Hospital Health System. With full support from our county commission, the proposal is moving forward. We hope to join the Huntsville system by July 1. We know Mary Beth will be an asset during this process and be a great liaison between LHS and Huntsville’s leadership team.”
Seals will become President of Lincoln Health System in July upon the anticipated completion of LHS’s transition to Huntsville Hospital Health System.
Looking to her new role, Seals said, “This opportunity is a dream come true for me, and an absolute blessing. I am so glad to be back at Lincoln Health System. Fayetteville is my home. It was where I was born and raised and where I am raising my family. I look forward to helping our local hospital continue to grow and prosper, as we move forward in our new relationship with Huntsville Hospital. I am thankful to all those who have supported and prepared me for this remarkable journey. Know I am grateful, and we look forward to continuing to serve the patients and community here in Fayetteville and Lincoln County. For such a time as this!”
Jeff Samz said, “Mary Beth is a strong leader with significant experience in business development, physician recruitment, physician practice management and leading teams. We look forward to working with her in serving the Fayetteville and Lincoln County community.”
