Lincoln Medical Center is proud to welcome brand new little ones into the world each day. As part of the loving care that is provided to families, we strive to offer services that will benefit families when they leave our facilities and continue on their journeys. Lincoln Medical Center is now offering lactation consultations as well as breastfeeding support classes. Kelly Clements will lead the role as our instructor.
Kelly Clements is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Labor and Delivery Nurse at Lincoln Medical Center. She is a 2005 graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, with a major in Nursing. Kelly has 10 years experience helping moms and babies breastfeed and specializes in low milk supply. She has also written an article in Valley Babies magazine about her struggles and triumphs with breastfeeding. Fayetteville, TN is her hometown and she is very excited about providing breastfeeding care to the women of Lincoln County. Kelly and her husband, Gabe live in Hazel Green, AL with their 3 daughters. She will now be providing Lactation Consultations to all breastfeeding mothers during their stay at Lincoln Medical Center. She will also be teaching breastfeeding classes at the hospital and leading a support group for breastfeeding mothers.
Breastfeeding class and support group are free. The class will be offered on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm and the breast feeding support group will be offered the second and fourth Thursday of the month at 10:00am beginning in January. The class and group will be held at the hospital in the education room located on the ground floor.
