Lincoln Health System, in collaboration with TriStar Health System, is proud to announce the expansion of tele-medicine services at Lincoln Medical Center to include cardiac telemedicine.
Through this program, Lincoln Medical Center patients will have instant access to a cardiac specialist with the use of robotic technology and specialized medical instruments that allow the physician to examine the patient from miles away.
“Telemedicine technology allows our patients to have access to quality specialty care without leaving their community hospital and the physicians and nurses that they know and trust,” said Darrell Blaylock, Lincoln Health System CEO. “We are excited about the expansion of telemedicine and the convenience it provides our patients and community, and we look forward to continued growth in the future.”
TriStar Health System has been providing tele-neurology services in the Lincoln Health System Emergency Room since 2018. This service has assisted the Emergency Room physicians and nurses in identifying patients with stroke symptoms allowing them to receive needed treatments quickly.
In addition to cardiac telemedicine services provided by TriStar Health System, onsite cardiology consults at Lincoln Medical Center are offered by Dr. William Cox with Lincoln Medical Group Specialty Associates and Dr. Ann Jackson with Ascension St. Thomas Heart. Lincoln Medical Center is an accredited Chest Pain Center with demonstrating an exceptional ability to identify and treat patients experiencing heart attack symptoms. The facility also offers comprehensive cardiac screening testing including cardiac stress testing, EKGs, echocardiograms, and nuclear medicine studies.
