Vicky Groce Named as New Care Center Administrator
I feel like I have come full circle and am home again here among old friends. Early in my healthcare career, I started working in long-term care. My roots began here and a piece of my heart has always remained.
I am excited about this chapter, to be able to lead a facility so dear to my heart and to continue the great care our Care Centers have developed such a strong reputation for providing. My hope is that Lincoln and Donalson Care Center will not only be known for great patient care, but also as an awesome place to work. Our staff members are the heartbeat of this place. They are caregivers, friends, a listening ear, and sometimes, family to our patients and residents.
Healthcare has changed. In my career, as a nurse and as an administrator, I have seen the changes first hand. Healthcare is hard work and the demands are strong. One thing that has always remained is our patient’s need for compassion. My goal has always been to treat people kindly and fairly – just as I would want to be treated. Everyone around us is someone’s mother, father, sister, brother, son or daughter and they all deserve to be treated with kindness. With that, I do not think you can go wrong.
Together, Lincoln and Donalson Care Center leadership, staff, patients, and families along with the strength of our Health System, we will make a great team. Our System provides us with many resources and I intend to use them fully for the betterment of our Care Centers and our community.
My door is always open!
