Visitor Policy Changes in Response to COVID-19

(Fayetteville, TN, March 17, 2020) – In response to the continued spread of COVID-19 in the state of Tennessee, Lincoln Health System will be implementing a restricted visitor policy beginning on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, across the health system as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Number of Visitors will be Limited

Lincoln Medical Center (LMC) will limit visitors to 1 per adult patient.  LMC visiting hours will be limited 8:00 AM-8:00 PM Daily.  No visitors under the age of 16 will be allowed at LMC.

LMC Labor and Delivery Unit will limit visitors to 2 designated support people per adult patient.  No siblings will be allowed to visit at this time.

Patrick Rehab-Wellness Center (PRWC) will limit visitors to 1 adult per patient.  No visitors will be allowed into the treatment areas. Exceptions will include parents with minor children and direct therapy team members.

All visitation is restricted at Lincoln-Donalson Care Center. Hospice patients at end-of-life can receive limited visitors who have passed the screening protocols.

Restricted Hospital Access Points & Visitor Health Screenings

In order to protect patients and employees, access to LMC will be restricted to only the main entrance.

Patients, visitors, and employees at all LHS locations will be screened for fever, cough, and shortness of breath before being allowed to enter patient care areas.  Additional screening questions will include recent travel history and possible exposure to COVID-19.  Visitors who have a positive screening will not be allowed to enter the building.

Wellness members at PRWC will be screened before being allowed to use the facility.

Protecting our Patients

Lincoln Health System’s new visitor policy is intended to protect patients, visitors and employees, by decreasing their exposure to individuals who may have been exposed to or who may carry COVID-19 while in the facilities.

LHS is closely monitoring the situation and staying in contact with the CDC and the TDOH.  LHS will adapt its policies, as needed, according to their recommendations.
