Lincoln Health System (LHS) has announced the discontinuation of the wellness service at the Patrick Rehab-Wellness Center.
The decision to close the service was made after a review of the Wellness Service volumes and revenues for the past year. The Wellness Service experienced a 66% decline in revenues from January to December 2020 as well as a 65% decline in wellness member visits. Although utilization of the service has been trending downward over the past several years, this extreme membership decline is believed to be caused by the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
The last day of operations for the Wellness Service will be March 31, 2021. The closure will not affect the facility’s outpatient rehabilitation and therapy services which operate in the same location. The Patrick Rehab Center will move forward with a concentration on providing Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy services for their patients.
“Our mission at Lincoln Health System is to provide quality, patient-focused health care for our community,” said LHS CEO Darrell Blaylock. “We will continue this mission and our vision of leading our community toward wellness by focusing on providing the essential health care services we need here in Lincoln County.”
